my grandad made this hutch and run set for my adopted 3 year old blue lop.

i had just cleaned him out which is why there are bin bags next to the run.

I'd be careful - buns can easily chew through chicken wire, and foxes would certainly have no problem chewing through it :shock:

Would you be able to invest in some fox-proof wire to keep your bun safe? For example: http://www.meshdirect.co.uk/Medium-weight-16-gauge-1-6-mm-wire-diameter-c-93.html

You can get this wire in lots of places, just make sure it is 16 gauge or lower :wave:

What a kind grandad! Can he come round and help me finish my playhouse!!!

The comment about the chicken wire is very important, chicken wire is only good for keeping chickens IN , it never can be relied on to keep foxes out.
(I have chickens too and stress so much about foxes, some people even double mesh their runs and hutches)

Screwfix deliver next day, and are a reasonable price!:wave:

it looks very nice Always good to have a handy person in the family!

I agree with the comments about the chicken wire though, mine can chew through it really easily.

Where abouts are you and what size is the run? I have some weld mesh you can have if you can collect but not sure it would be enough to do the whole thing.

I like how you've set it up with the straw and the tunnels and the bits of wood. It's great to give them a nice interactive environment instead just a bare flat run!
