  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Can I have some vibes for Bikky-boo please?

Biscuit's Mum!

Warren Veteran
Biscuit has become incontinent recently. She is currently on a course of baytril and is going on to panacur for a month. It doesn't seem to be an infection, she has had her wee sampled for that, it is apparently unlikely to be a back trauma (which I didn't know was a possibility :?) and may be to do with her hormones, or bladder stones, or something more sinister. They think the most likely thing is EC :( There is no head tilt but apparently that is not uncommon.

I am dropping her off at the vets tomorrow morning (with Badger) so that they can knock her out and scan her.

I am pretty worried, so any vibes or "I've been through the same thing" messages would help.

Sending lots of vibes for tomorrow. xx

Fingers and paws crossed that it's something that can be sorted out quickly and easily.

Loads of vibes Laura.

Hope its not bad news but that you find out *what* it is that's causing little Bikky problems :(

Thanks everyone. Dropped her off this morning with Badger and had a little blub, but hopefully this scan will help. They are also taking some urine straight from her bladder apparently to test it. Poor little angel :(
