Wise Old Thumper
Ideas?
I suspect this is another 'Ginger' thing.
Her fur doesn't seem to grow right on her feet. It grows from one side to t'other.
Only way i can describe it is like an old mans 'comb over'. If that makese sense?
Its so matted its being shaved every few weeks, and it grows back so quickly and just matts again. Its not because of standing in urine, as her paws are dry as a bone, it just seems to be 'the way she is'.
Vet says theres nothing we can do except constantly trim it and keep it clean and apply sudocrem if it becomes red at all - we've only seen the actual skin once before and it grew back okay and we've not had soreness since.
Just wondering, am i fighting a losing battle with it and accept this is how it is - or is there something i can try?
Thanks in advance - i dont mind if nobody knows, and can't reply, just needed to ask.
