my bun has a dewlap

lousilverfox

Mama Doe
Had Milly for 5 days now, got her from a rescue home

Shes 2 years and has a dewlap. Does this mean she is expecting kits?

Hoping to get her spayed in next couple of months, will the dewlap go away?

Some buns just do have dewlaps, doesn't mean she is pregnant at all. Biscuit has always had one, she likes to rest her head on it when she sleeps.

They don't tend to go away once a bun has 'created' its body shape it just tends to grow! Nothing to worry about though, they are quite cute :)

my buck has a dewlap, he's definitely not going to have kits haha!

it can be the result of being fat, my two were rescues so could have been overweight at some point, others just develop them naturally as they age. as long as it's not too big that it stops them cleaning themselves don't worry about it!
