Wood stain / fence paint.

Is it ok to use normal fence paint or wood stain to paint the outside of a hutch and run with or should i avoid incase the rabbits nibbles at it?

Just wondered what you all use.

For the outside it is not very important as long as you don't let them eat it. For the inside I would always stick to an animal safe product like Cuprinol Garden Shades or the hutch stain sold by Pets at Home

Do i need to paint or stain the inside if i am using plywood and planed timber?

sorry, don't know the answer to your last question.

Just wanted to say that I've just painted the outside of my new hutch with Cuprinol shades in Willow colour and it looks very smart!

I don't think it matters whether you stain or paint it. As long as you repaint it when it looks washed out. I've painted the insides of most of mine. Wilkinsons Colour Your Garden also says it is harmless to animals. You have to let it fully dry first though of course
