If your afraid of snails and slugs eating your plants before they've even grown.
you should place a thick copper wire in a circle shape around your plant.
This acts as a boundary and slugs and snails wont cross it as it gives them a sting. Their slimy bit reacts with copper. Saw this on a children's science programme. :wave:

P.s. I would love to plant stuff. But we're going to build a new fence and update our flower beds and lift them higher so the bunnies cant jump in. We're also going to build a run which will destroy a tree and a bit of two flower beds.
So we're going to have to plant after all that work"!
