rabbit stopped using litter tray instead poops and pees on hay :O

help....my rabbits have stopped pooping in their litter tray but instead on their hay.

ive tried putting it in a container and even moving it. but no matter what they still pee on it. iim concerned and they are still eating the hay and if their peeing on it then its not very hygenic is it.

any advice?

Where is the hay?

Could you put hay in the litter tray and/or next to it?

Most buns like to poo/pee while nomming hay :wave:

the litter tray is right next to the hay tray...i moved it as i though they might sit in the litter tray and poop in that when they are eating....but it didnt work

Rabbits tend to poop where hay is Just a fact of bunny life.

It's normal for a bunny. They like to eat whilst they go to the toilet. It's not unhealthy either. Technically there is nothing wrong with drinking your own wee, it's already been through your body so you already have any germs that might be in it. Not something I would ever do though.
