Lobo
Mama Doe
Last St. Patrick's Day a ray of light entered our lives in the form of an abandoned nameless bunny we had been able to offer a home. Given the day there was no option to name him anything but Paddy.
He came at a time when we had recently lost both our bonded nine year olds and it was as if he understood this. He took it upon himself to bring about happiness with his antics. When he detected sadness he would run around carrying toys in his mouth rattling them loudly and doing clumsy binkies whilst looking to make sure we were laughing. Yet there were other times when he instinctively knew not to play the role of the clown and would quietly ease up beside us and place his head on our lap, offering total support without ever asking for anything in return.
After 33 weeks and 4 days on Sunday, November 7, 2010 Paddy silently slipped through the dark door that leads to the Rainbow Bridge. It was as though he felt his work was done.
The passing of time can never erode the memory of this little bunny's generosity of spirit.
