Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

has anyone tried the echinacea pellets from galens garden?

just wondered if they would be good for bisc and matt?? they have the protexin profibre ones now and i get the echinacea herbs aswell every so often.

just thought maybe the pellets would be instead of the profibre ones, or to just stick to the herb version?

Haven't seen them but would imagine they would be good for Frankie. Will get some next time I order. I get the dried echinacea. Just had a look and it looks like they are a supplement. I think I will get the sampler pack next time I make an order.

do you think they should be instead of the pro-fibre? it says a teaspoon a day of the echinacea pellets. don't know which would be better. the echinacea seems more natural as a supplement.

i might order some aswell next time.

i get the dried echinacea aswell. it's quite strong i think, that's why i wasn't sure whether to feed aswell as pro-fibre or instead of. decisions!!

:)

As far as I understand it they are just echinecea and nothing else. The profibre has extra fibre so I wouldn't substitute for them personally. I'll email them and ask the ingredients later.
