wood preservative for inside a hutch

Hi. I've had this on chat but no replies so hoping someone can help on here!

I've found a lot of threads advising what to paint on the outside of a hutch but need to know what I can use to treat the inside of a new hutch.

My OH has built many hutches and we never use any preservative on the inside as we find putting it on the outside is sufficient as its the outside needed to protect against the weather.
Most products will say on the tin if they are animal friendly but they are only animal friendly when dry. I think the Cuprinol range is ok?

I'd use cuprinol garden shades or wilkinsons colour your garden, the same as outside.
