Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Twinkle had a dental this a few days ago, and I notice today that the side of her mouth that was wet from dribbling before is still wet..

Does this mean the dental didnt work?

No, but she may still have a sore mouth if any spurs had caused soft tissue damage.

Can you feel any lumpiness along her jaw ?

:wave:This was one of my first posts on here. Feegal (dental bun) had exactly the same thing. After a dental...

He had a fair amount of ulcers in his mouth and was put on a drug for ulcers in the gut etc. Sorry I can't remember what it was. He went under a GA to double check all the spurs had been dealt with as well, and they had been.

Anyway after he was on it for ages and the ulcers had cleared he still hadn't stopped dribbling but was decided to take him off them. He didn't need a dental for ages but still dribbled.

His teeth are still OK, but he still dribbles, the difference is his is under his chin and Twinkles is on the side of the face:?

My conclusion with Feegal is he is just a dribble bun.

Sorry I can't be more help, but I am sure Mark would have got all the spurs under control:)

Thanks that has put my mind at rest a bit... I am sure Mark did a good job, but just worry she is still feeling uncomfortable...

Poor Twinkle, I would just wait and see how she goes and try not to worry FB she has plenty of pain relief xx

I will give it till Tuesday.. I am at the vets Wednesday for Pickle and Pootle myxi jabs, so will take Twinkle with me if there is no improvement with the dribbling by then.
