  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

its been 48 hours

From our experience Jimby was up and having a wander within about 24-36 hours.
I would say not to allow him outside at the moment but having a little run in the house should be fine if he is up to it.

Supervised is fine. You might want to avoid him jumping up onto anything too high for the first week.

limited space and no obstacles or jumping. you also don't want him to binky.

did the use sutures or glue? i'd check the wound before and after.

Aww sounds like he is showing you just how dipleased he is about what you have had done to him!

why why why this imposible all he wants to do is jump on sofa and binkie lol ive had to blackmail him back in so he cant get up to any more jumpping cheeky lil bun

Can you keep him in a puppy pen with a roof? you really dont want him to split the glue! maybe distract him with a pile of hay with things buried in it, or a toy or something?
