Bringing rabbits indoors

FudgeTort

Wise Old Thumper
Over the winter, where it has been cold and horrible, Ive been letting the bunnies come inside the house for a run around and to spend some time with them, as it has been far too cold outside.

We have a solid fuel fire to heat the house, so ive always brought them in first thing in the morning when the temperature is very low, and then putting them home before re fuelling the fire.

How much harm would it do to bring them in for a few hours when the heating was on as normal, about 20 degrees C? I'm guessing this would be advised against?

Thanks :)

We bring our outdoor lovely lops in daily

In the bad weather, esp when Fifi and George can't go into their run, we bring them in and let them play in the kitchen, which is relatively cool. They can stretch their legs and have human interaction. If we didn't do this, we would hardly see them and it gives us a lot of pleasure. Of course they scarper when its time to go back outside for their supper!! So far we have done this throughout this first winter of being bunny parents with no ill effect.
