Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

The most likely reason your bunny isn't eating is because of pain- this could be due to something such as a a dental problem that makes it difficult for him to eat- has your vet checked his teeth?

Anorexia really just means not eating- it doesn't give you the reason. Although dental problems are not the only cause they are one of the most common, especially in a young bunny, and it is impossible to rule out dental problems without an examination under anaesthetic so that may be worth considering.

Tempting foods for a bunny that is off his food include leafy, juicy things such as carrot tops and herbs, plus the foods that would be eaten in the wild: coarse grasses, dandelions, bramble, apple leaves etc. These foods will also help to keep him hydrated which is vital Whatever the reason for his anorexia he won't want to eat if he is in pain though so painkillers from the vet are probably needed too xx
