  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

seems to be a new thread everyday about another snuffle bunny. :( makes me really sad for them all. :(

it's such a horrible thing and to try getting it under control aswell and seeing them poorly is just awful. it's so upsetting and worrying going though it so when i read about people starting to go through it it makes me really sad for them.

hugs to all the snuffle bunnies and their devoted mummies and daddies. x

My Rocky has been to the vets today...another snuffly bunny. :( *sigh* He's now on antibiotics and being nursed by myself round the clock! Here's praying for a speedy recovery! He's on Baytril...reading here I've got my reservations about it now. What do you guys think?

It does work for some bunnies. Just depends what bacteria there is . Sending lots of vibes for him.

Thanks for the well wishes!

Sprocket seems to have shifted his and Widget has seemed to improve quite a bit although still not 100%, she's sneezing a lot less, and her breathing is nowhere near as noisy or laboured now, but she's still grunting when eating and now I'm not sure if she is bad enough to have the C&S test done.
