hi i want to get two of my males neutered but rang a few vets and only told me sucess rate is low as anesthetic can react badly on rabbits, this worried me as i wouldnt want my rabbit caused harm due to something they dont have to have, so i am looking for a really good vets in yorkshire?

Hi. I live in wetherby. I always go to harcourt-brown in Harrogate. Frances harcourt-brown is a rabbit specialist, you are lucky to be as close to her practice as you are.....she is no doubt the best person that you could take your rabbits to. One of her colleagues, Ruth is also very rabbit savvy.

There are lots of veterinary practices closer to me.....but I would not consider going anywhere else with my rabbit. I honestly feel privileged to be able to take jack to her.

Ditto the above, especially the bit about Ruth also being very rabbit savvy. They are well worth travelling to.

Try Holly House vets in Moortown, leeds.

I used them when I lived in Leeds, , they spayed my girl Poppy with no problems. If Sarah Brown still works there I found her very good with rabbits.

Let us know how your bunnies do

Definitely recommend Holly House. :D

Sarah Brown is still there and she is excellent. I see her regularly with my dental chinchilla.

Calder Vets, they've branches dotted about round west yorkshire . I go their 24 hour animal hospital in Dewsbury  http://www.caldervets.co.uk/dewsbury/

ETA I used to see Claire Richmond Smith but she's moved to Newcastle (lucky newcastle she's brill!) but Sharon Ross is also fab with buns.

Aww  She treated Sorrel a lot too. And she was really understanding when Poppy died suddenly, and sent me a lovely card :)

Calder or Sage are good. Both how vets in Heckmondwike, the main for Calder is in Dewsbury and the main for Sage is Bradford xx
