Pet Assisted Therapy...

GiantOscar

Young Bun
Just wondered whether anyone's had much experience with this?

Note: Oscar is currently weighing in at 5.9 kilos at 7-8 months.

Oscar joined me with a jaunt to the local pub (he was strictly T-total) & proceeded to amuse all & become the talk of the village. Eventually falling asleep under the pool table :D

Makes for interesting conversation when you walk into your local to find not a dog but a giant bunny!

Anyways...........................I was invited up to the local retirement home, all going well then hopefully going up weekly so Oscar can ran riot round their lounge (I get tea & biscuits! :p)

Just wondered if anyone had any tips???

PS. He's currently learning how to kiss for cornflakes!

Pictures!

(Also just be careful not to stress him out as giant buns often have weak hearts. Just monitor him to make sure he's not getting stressed in new environments. :))

Check out his facebook profile. He's Oscar Parkin (look for the bunny picture!)

I'm pretty careful with him, I let him hide & come out on his own. He didn't seem to have any problems socialising in the pub - lucky sod.

I bet he gets all the ladies. ;)

I'm probably the only person in the entire world that isn't on facebook so I can't look him up.

And I think I'm about the only person who can't figure out how to upload piccies! :?

use photobucket, imageshack or somewhere else like that and copy the link into here :)

And my 2 have done some PAT type work, Eddie loves it cos he loves people. Bindi was quite happy doing it as she just likes human attention, but she no longer does any after an illness.

Apologies - bit photo heavy now.

Nom nom - my favourite - Victoria's sugarpuffs...always taste better when you're not supposed to be eating them!

Bunny transport, he does enjoy it - spends the first 10 minutes making the most of the wind (ears flapping) then circles and settles down and watches me. Note: he can't jump out. He's only sat like that because I was taking pictures. This is how he gets to see his friend 1.5miles away. He seems completely un-bothered by the situation & just wibbles his nose at me, which is a normal Oscar trait.

Now you see me...

Now you don't... (I think actually he thought if he hides in my recyclable fruit & veg box I get delivered (full) and collected (empty) each week that he might get to play mascot at the fruit & veg shop! (They enjoyed the photos when I sent them through!)

I sit good Mum! Guarding my veggies in da fwidge!

Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese!

Ready for bed Mum - you coming?!
