Rabbit Behaviour Expert?

GrahamL

Wise Old Thumper
Does anyone know of anywhere i can call and talk to someone about rabbit behaviour? PrettyLupin recommended i could do it, but i dont know where one may be. I'm googling, but not getting very far.

I'd like to have a telephone consultation with someone to discuss some issues whilst i try and understand whats going on :?

Sorry for the shameless bump

Try the APBC....that is the Association of Pet Behaviour Clinic. Or Rabbit Welfare Association as they have a contacts.

Good luck.

I'm not sure what your rabbit problem is, and not sure if there are any qualifications in being a rabbit behaviour specialist-(I don't believe there are)?

You may be better off pm-ing some members on here- particularly those with many rabbits as they may have more experience?.

Are you looking for written advice or for someone who lives near enough to come round?

I know my daughter(bunlover) is something of an animal "whisperer" having helped others with rabbit problems in the past (though she is not qualified or an expert)-you could perhaps pm her and ask if she can suggest advice or if she can suggest members on here who may be able to help you?

PrettyLupin mentioned that there were some around, who i could have a telephone consultation with :? Just wondered if anyone knew of them. Do you think bunlover would mind if i PM'd her?

I am sure there are many peope on the forum who would be willing to help. Quite happy for you to pm me with a view to giving me a ring.

Might be able to help, if not might know someone who can.

Is it not something you want to post about? I'm sure we can give all sorts of views from all sorts of backgrounds. For example I have qualifications in psychology and have kept buns for 14 years. I could possibly advise on basic reasons for behaviours and simple ways to change them. No expert though so that is why I would want the rest of ru to give critical feedback before you took any advice. :)

I hope you manage to get things sorted.

she would be happy to help if she can :D;or put you in touch with others. (she works shifts so may not be on in the daytime).

I see Mrs Bunnykins has offered to help too.:D

I'm sure you will find someone on here who would be willing to give free advice.:D

I have already posted about it

It's Biscuit and his litter tray destruction

I want to try and understand, and although i dont have an endless pit of money, i wouldnt mind paying for an hour or so of an animal behaviour experts time to help me try and understand what could be going on, as i'm all out of ideas and other RU members who have tried to help are unsure also.

We have vague ideas, but nothing concrete, for obvious reasons

I think that is a resounding vote for Anne :lol:

On the site Karen posted it said they do a telephone consultation for £40 an hour, that seems really reasonable!
