Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Vet check I'm afraid, he may need a mite treatment and an antiflammatory if it's really itchy and the skin is broken (metacam) it's impossible to say whether it's just a moult or mites on here so the best option is a quick check at the vets - you'll inevitably pay for a consult so might aswell just get bunny healthchecked ie, teeth, nails etc while your there

P/s don't just leave it hoping it will go away because for the sake of £25.00 if it is mites it can escalate and get very nasty.

cheers was going to make an apt tday but they wherent open this is worse its been hate seeing him with no fur hes still his normal self just doesnt lok like it would be nice to have x

I agree with Vicky...sounds like a nasty mite infestation.

A vet appointment would be best...from what you've described, it sounds pretty severe
