Young Bun
So last Thursday (20th) I was cleaning out the bunny shed - bunnies were in the garden & Mark started 'vomiting'. Now I know rabbits can't vomit but there was definietly regurgitated food coming out of his mouth. So I took him straight to the vet & he gave him a Metaclopramine (sp?) injection to get his guts moving (he said the stomach felt full & the intestines felt empty) & we both thought there was a blockage. He really perked up after the jab & was eating well and pooing (so some food had to be getting through his system) but he's still vomiting/regurgitating.
He's been back every day this week for the same injection & he's been started on Baytril as he's 'purring' - we think some of the food has gone into his lungs & now he has a lung infection
He had an X-ray today - vet said the lungs look a bit inflamed but are well inflated but couldn't really see a blockage or tumour or anything... so I am really confused!
Has anyone had a similar experience or have any ideas as to what could be wrong?
ETA: He's lost weight but it was stable until Wednesday but he's gone from 2.1kg to 1.9
