Can anyone recommend me a bag for carrying and storing hay bales in? Something strong and hard wearing.

I use those huge blue ikea bags for carrying etc but I keep mine in a shed so don't need anyhting waterproof.

What about buying a roll of Hessian to make your own to the sizes you require

They are great for transporting it in your car without making a mess and easy to lift because of the carrying handles.

We use old duvet covers. Work a treat for us. Been using the same two for about 4 years now (with going through about two bales a week they have last well).

hessian or duvet covers are brilliant ideas

We use a giant cardboard box
i worry about polythene or plastic because of condensation and/or mould
