Rescues do you scan buns for chips

Do you scan new buns to see if they have chips, just wondering if it is worthwhile having my buns chipped in case they get lost or stolen.

When we get a stray in, they are always taken to the vets to be scanned for a chip (i do have to remind some fosterers). Definately worth it IMO x

Some places do, so it's definately worth it. Even if it only gives them an extra 1% chance of being identified it's worth it

I get them chipped as they are neutered that way if they turn up somewhere i know who took them

We always scan a stray rabbit when it's handed in.
Although have never had a stray chipped rabbit.
But have had rabbits handed in for re-homing that have been done.

My own house rabbit is also chipped, just in case someone leaves a door open and she escapes.
