Please Note - Medical Advice
Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.
You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.
We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.
Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.
Bumped for you Evie, as I am afraid I don't know much about that.
Can they be burns from the cold floor at exercise time? I know you have some paved bits. The only saw paws I have had are from heat burns on the patio, so just wondered if there is a cold version of that.
I am probably being an idiot...someone more useful will be along shortly
shes an indoor bun!!!xxx
I think it's like sore hocks but on the front toes? Mini has a bit of pinkness there sometimes.
It's hard to give an opinion/advice without being able to see her feet :?
Any chance of pics ?
Poor wee Lily! Is she behaving as if she is in pain? Sending her vibes and hoping a bunny tootsies expert comes along.
I cant really glean much from the pic
If the skin looks inflamed and/or cracked then obviously that is a valid concern, especially given her spinal issues.
What did you use to wash her feet, just water ?
Is that tarpaulin under the hay and if so are her feet actually in contact with it ?
