Question for rescues?

Mama Doe
Which is your main priority?

1. A rabbit/rabbits that arent in the best accomadation ie 3ft hutch for 2 giants.
2. Homeless bunny's found on the streets.
3. Expecting mother/ mothers with kits
4. Injured or ill rabbit

Just wandering :D

:? Thats hard to answer. We get strays very often, they are a priority as if we dont take them where do they go? But then i would never turn away an injured or ill rabbit, would get it to the vets and then think afterwards, same with any animal xx

Yeah their all imortant but what if the rescue onlt had room for one ? :)

You have to look at the complete picture for each situation and not just one isolated bit from each then look at the whole picture with all of the rabbits in contrast to each other. Many rescues will set up emergency pens and go over their ideal set up for the right situations.

Injured or ill rabbit who is not getting vetinary care is a priority, however injured or ill rabbit who is getting vetinary care is not a priority.

Expectant mother or mother with kits is not a priortity, as additional scenario may change a rescues porspective of this.

A stray may not be a priority if someone is able to care for it correctly until a space becomes available. It may be a priority if there is no where else for it to go. Many vets will hold on to strays until a space becomes avaialable.

etc.
