Cat Flaps

Just wondered how good rabbits are at using cat flaps? Any experiences?

Er... yes :lol:

At the RSPCA Nino came from ALL the rabbits had catflaps to their outside kennel so they could access it at will. However, Nino was the only rabbit with a sign above his to let all staff know to leave it permanently open at all times as he wasn't bright enough/or able to use it, and one night got stuck outside all night long :lol:

Not all buns can manage them, some may learn if taught by reward or just by experimentation on their own, and others will be fine. You won't know until you try I guess.

When we accidentally left the lower door of Marble's hutch open, we only realised what had happened when she emerged through the cat-flap into the kitchen! She had watched the cats do it often enough...

When we had our cat flap done, Heather learnt to use it confidently in 30mins, Bart took most of the day
