Damson tree trunk - is it safe for buns ?

RosieLock

New Kit
Had a damson tree in our garden chopped down today, and managed to retrieve a 15''or so chunk of one of the branches - was thinking it could be good fun for the buns to hop on and off of. Now wondering if it is safe for them, should they have a nibble !! ( I havent given it to them yet !!) Any one know if it would be ok ?

there are small traces of a toxin called hydrogen cyanide produced in the leaves and seed but if they've already had a nibble, i wouldn't worry as you'd have to eat a lot to do any damage, i'm not sure about the trunk of the tree itself but i'd steer clear if in doubt
