Hello

I have just booked Tilly in for an appointment today to check why she is so skinny. Bernard is going with her to have a little check up at the same time. Tilly had a wee this morning and it was thick and white so I decided to get my bum in gear and get to the vets asap.

they are booked in at 10 past three and I have made sure I see the bunny savvy vet.

vibes please xx

Thanks for all the vibes guys

Great news. Tilly is fine! Vet looked her over and said she is a bit skinnier than she should be but she would describe her as being 'lean' rather than 'underweight', need to feed her up a little bit but not over feed her.

Vet was fantastic, also clipped Bernards claws as we always struggle because he has one that is twisted :(. She also showed us how to hole him when we do it to make it easier. Bernard had a quick check up and he is very healthy :)

Tilly had her teeth checked and they are perfect  I've been worrying so much that she might have poorly teeth and be in pain, I'm so pleased!!

Vet also advised on how to bond them with Oriana when we get her as I have been worrying about how to bond three buns and she said she will give Tilly another check over when we bring Bernard and Oriana in for there vaccinations.

I am sooo happy!!

Now I have a job interview!! My day is getting better and better and I don't even care that I am talking to myself because I'm soo happy :D

*jumps around shouting 'hurraaahhh'*

YAAAYYY!!!!!!!
so glad Tilly's ok! She'll be on the road to Great-Weight lane soon, dont you worry!
Clipping nails is always hard... we have ww3 when we start!!

Woo!

Sorry I didn't comment earlier, I didn't see the post in the midst of my mad runnings around. I'm glad all was well though :) And good luck for your job interview.

:lol::lol:I'll talk to you :lol::lol:I'm really pleased your bunnies are both well, such a relief isn't it?

Well done on the job interview as well, what's it for?

A great day all round! :D :D :D

So pleased your buns have been given the thumbs up! Must be ahuge happy relief.
Was it Jo you saw today? (She neutered my little lad Jeff this morning...have just brought him home)

Yay there is life in RU after all!! Hello  thank you for your replies I was beginning to wonder if I was going to celebrate on my own

Job interview is for an IT job :D it's a pretty good wage and sounds like a nice little job so I really have my fingers crossed for it but if not I'll find something else :)

I'm a very happy bunny at the moment :lol:

Debs- it was Jo that I saw, she was fantastic and obviously really cares for animals.

I hope your little bun is ok? I was thinking about you on my way home actually!

That's great news! Glad Tilly and Bernard are both doing well. :) Congratulations on the interview and good luck!

Did I just see you at the vets? There was a lady collecting a bun called Jeff while I was in the waiting room. I was there with Billy to see Jo.

Small world!

I know! I was going to ask the person I saw if they were an RU member, but then I thought I'd look mad if she'd never heard of it! Also, I didn't know what the rabbit was in for, so didn't know if she was upset and might not want to talk.

Jo is great isn't she? I usually go to the Acomb surgery, but I wanted a more specialist opinion today since I wasn't sure what was wrong with Billy.

She's brilliant, I usually go to Fulford road as it was advised by a friend who has been going for years with her animals and I didn't realise that Abbeyfields was the same group as tower vets! I live on Gillygate so it makes so much sense to pop down the road to Clarence street  especially if the vet there is bunny savvy

Maybe us York RUers should arrange a coffee sometime?

I've been to the Fulford Road one quite a few times, as they can do a lot more there than at Acomb. It does seem like the Tower Group are taking over York!

I've noticed there are a few of us from York on here now, it would be great to meet up sometime! :)

Yes! That was me!!! :wave:

Small small world.

I was a little tense I have to admit....first bunny, first neutering...
The little guy is dozing...but has just munched a baby carrot, some strips of greens and a bit of kale...so far, so good.
Happy Debs.
