  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

I recently got a female bun who was spayed on 16th last month...she developed a lump under her scar and I was told that this was just a build up of blood from where bleeding occured suring the operation.

She has had no problems what so ever...eating drinking pooping and weeing fine. I am now bonding her (started today) to my other 2 buns (male/female)...all has been going...just the usual mouting and a bit of chasing because of the mounting.

My new bun went to hump the male so I pulled her off...as i I noticed blood trickling down from her genitals :( it wasn't much but enough if that makes sense!...it came has come internally as it came out of her lady part. Do you reckon it could be from the lump? It has gone down in size.

Anything else it could be? I will call the vet in the morning and keep a close eye on her tonight. Seems weird as she is acting normal and is in no pain...she is more interested in trying to make friends

Definatly ring thre vets, if she seems fine then just keep an eye on her. Sound like it was the lump to me, but the vets will probably want to take a look around the area to make sure nothing is wrong. Good luck and I hope it's all ok :)

Thank you :)

I keep checking her and all has been good so far :)

gonna be a looooong night *sigh*...dunno what is worse...staying awake to keep an eye on them or having to listen to the OH snoring
