Ted when I first got him, he had a slightly bald nose from chewing on the bars of his previous cage as it was way too small. I don't know his age but he's quite old now as his fur is getting thin and he doesn't get out of bed as much anymore

I am DESPERATE for a female Chinese hamster but my hubby is very allergic to animals and won't allow one in the house. I even said it would stay up in my craft room - 2 floors up but no.

Doesn't seem like hamsters would be something people are very allergic to :? I mean, they're so small and don't really shed..

I have never had a chinese, only a russian and robo. I'm sure you could convince him!

Could you perhaps take him to a rescue centre that has hams and get him to handle one? They will normally allow this if you are wanting to adopt but are unsure about allergies etc.
