Hi, I’ve been reading your forum today about sticky poo that is stuck to my bunny I’ve had my bunnies for approx 6 years now (Sooty and Poppy) I have never had a problem with Poppy but the last few months now I’ve had this horrible sticky STINKY poo (they are both house rabbits and have never been in any type of cage since I have had them) When I first smelt it, and upon investigation poppy had huge, huge lumps with oozing poo from the middle, got a fright of my life thought it was some type of tumour with poo around it.
Anyway I digress, I note on the forum to take them off pellets, and just use hay and veggies, I knew nothing about this subject and even the vet didn’t help (Gove Lodge of all people), although didn’t stop them from charging me £90.00 for the poo (no tumour thank god) removal and suggestion to buy the pellets they had on display. Digressing again... so, I and going to take the advice of taking away pellets. What I want to know is WHAT HAY and how much Veggie's (what type of Veggies?)
I’ve always given them pellets. Grass (real dried grass) and all types of Veggies and they love dried banana skins (I very, very seldom give them fruit, I found this gave them runny tummies)
WHAT HAY?
How much Veggie's?
What type of Veggies?
Is real dried grass better than Hay?
:?
I can’t stand the sticky stinky poo any more (have to bath her every other day)
