Spraying or UTI?

How do you know if bun is spraying coz shes hormonal/temperamental, or is he's developed UTI?

Poppet is 6 months old and not yet spayed (will be done early Jan). I thought she was spraying, but after having read threads, it seems UTI is very common. How do I know the difference?

She is displaying hormonal/territorial behaviour, such as wanting to chase and hump her younger female bun-friend, and chinning. She drinks well, she eats (but not loads) and she poos pretty much everywhere. She used to wee in the trays provided only, but in the last few days she's also been weeing on Cookie, on my handbag, on the wall and on the floor.

I was just cleaning it up, and checking that her bum was dry/clean (yes), but now I'm worried she might be unwell...

Any advice would be much appreciated - Thanxx.

Spraying is when they literally spray things with urine so a squirt that goes right up the wall or across another rabbit as the hop past.

An infection is usually confused with the type of marking that is just little puddles left around instead of in the tray.

It sounds like your bun is showing hormonal spraying :)

Spraying is more common in males than females. So double check the sex just in case, particularly if she's with an unneutered female.

Thanxx Tamsin - that's what I thought, but as I'm not yet fluent in bunny speak I thought I should ask someone who knows.
