Tilly's first day in her new home! (pic heavy)

Tasmin's MOB

Mama Doe
We picked up Mathilda today from the RSPCA, had to get a taxi as van needs an mot. I was a bit frustrated when the taxi driver took a detour down a long road full of speed bumps
However none of this seemed to bother her much, she kept trying to peek out of the carry case to see what was going on!

We brought her home and put the carry case inside the new cage and opened the door. She came straight out and had a sniff around.

We left her to settle in and I went to work for four hours :(. Simon (OH) checked on her three or four times and said she was a bit nervous but ok.

When I came home I went in to see her and she came out to see me, I opened the cage door and gave her a stroke and she crunched her teeth and closed her eyes

She seemed to be getting bored sat in her cage so I moved out of the way and let her come out, she loved it, running around under the bed and has even been binkying!!!!

She has fit in perfectly already and I am so shocked at how happy she is already and how she seems to trust us enough to come up to us for a stroke!

She is much braver than Bernard was!

She will be meeting Bernard tomorrow :D

Anyway I'll stop waffling and give you some piccies!!

Bernard keeps sniffing me, wondering why I smell of rabbit !!

Thanks everyone! So nervous today, first time I have ever bonded but want to get it started asap as poor tilly is getting bored in her cage. Me and OH kept takng it in turns to sit in bedroom with her whilst she was out exploring but had to put her in her cage when we went to bed.

Bernard is free range and has open acsess to his cage but mainly stays in the living room.

I think I'm going to start by putting him in his cage with something in front so he can't see out and then letting Tilly have a sniff round it. I'm then going to do the same but the other way around and see how they both get on without seeing each other but just having a sniff.

Not sure what to do about neutral ground as a meeting area. Only thing I can think would be the kitchen as it is bunny free zone and Bernard has never been in there.

Ooo my tummy is tickling with nerves I hope I'm doing everything right :?

Tilly is wondering round room, not bothered by anything, bernard is in his cage covered with blanket, freaking because he never gets locked in! What do I do??? Uncover him and let him see?

ETA: making a new thread on Bonding them.
