After a couple of not quite so cold nights, we are back to freezing temperatures. I changed Spenser's frozen water at 6pm, and again at 8pm. He is lively, cheeky and all fluffed out like a giant powder puff, bless him. We are hoping his snugglesafe and new cover come this week, but in general he seems to prefer the winter to the summer weather.

I shall convey your apologies to his lordship. Spenser is named after the 16th century poet I wrote on for my PhD, hence the unusual spelling.

Not at all, he's very independent, whereas the hooman Edmund Spenser was always writing poems in the hope of getting in with the powers that be. Spenser does as he likes!:lol::love:

I've been out to convey Grace65's apologies to Spenser, and also a little treat. He was sat in the under-run of his hutch, and grabbed the treat off me as if he hadn't been fed for a week. So much for his lordly dignity! His water hasn't frozen again yet, and I think it is a little less cold than it was earlier. He has lots of straw, a cardboard box and a fleece blanket in the under-run (which also has bubble wrap on the sides until the hutch-hugger arrives).

What a pampered bun the life of a king indeed.
Please thank sir for his forgiveness. xx

3rd frozen water bowl of the evening has been changed. Spenser was sitting 'on his throne' but graciously accepted a bit of fenugreek crunchie (very nearly gobbled a bit of my finger too!). I will post a new powder puff photo tomorrow if his lordship deigns to do a photoshoot.

I really do think that Bramble prefers this weather to the summer. Unfortunatley we weren't able to put him into the outbuilding, as our new wooden garage has been delayed due to the weather. Fingers crossed for this weekend. I have put a little furry bunny in with Bramble to keep him company! Just changed his frozen water bottle and re-heated the snugglesafe.

Spenser is a very lucky bun to have such a caring mummy
