Just a couple tips. wire hurts their feet so you should cover the wire with cardboard or something. that fluffy bedding stuff can get caught round the leg and then need amputation. Or at least I know the bedding like that sold for hams can. I can't tell if yours is like cotton ball material (and don't know whether that would be safe or could get caught too) but I'd take it out to be on the safe side. And the cage may also be a bit small. Levels don't count as floor space.
ETA: Oh and also, you want to make sure he doesn't get stressed. Some people give them a few days to settle in before they play with them. I must admit I still played with them but only for very short periods for the first week.
