Building your own hutch?

:?

Ive been having a look at hutches online and they all seem so small! Any bigger than 50" and you're looking at pretty much taking out a bank loan for them

So has anyone made their own? Ours will eventually be moving into a shed so will be kept dry in there... But just wondered cost wise?

Yes my husband has made quite a few hutches.

He reckons the cost of materials for a 6ft x 2ft x 2ft hutch is approx 40quid.

hope that helps.

My dad has made several hutches, but none that big, although recently he did build our 12.5ft by 4.5ft enclosure :D

You just have to be careful with the materials and that you get appropriate stuff.

I had a double 7 x 2 x 2 made from my ex OH's grandad, took nearly a month, but its fantastic! didnt cost a penny either!

I've made quite a few hutches, it's definately worth it. You could definately do a 6ft x 2ft x 2ft for less than £100
