Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

OMG.....I could not believe my boy yesterday............
I'm away for a few nights so took my buns to my dad's.
The grass in the bun's area is really long compared to what they are used to and Petie did a binky for the first time in probably 18 months!!!!
Especially given his ill health this year I just wanted to let you all know the boy still has the moves!!!!!!

My heart did melt!!!!

I never thought I'ld see him binky again!!!! He's a big solid bunny (nearly 3kg) so leaving the ground takes a lot of effort!!!! And his spine, hips and knees are full of arthritis so all I can say is that grass obviously looked FABULOUS!!!!!!

awwwwww!

i love it when they binky!

Oh my heart melted!!!!
I was so glad I had my dad with me, I would have thought I'ld imagined it!!!
He's never really been a bunny to binky, he's full of love and live but never really been a binkier!!!
I've even managed to get some extra winter weight on him despite all his illnesses. Think I'm going to have to watch his waistline.....I just love his lovely pot of a tum and if he's binkying he has to be fit!!!!!
Love love love him!!!!!!
Thanks all for the support xxxxxx

More binkies at my house..............

Well the Sunday afternoon update at our house is madam has been binkying!!!!!

Given the number of trips to the vets I've had with these two over the last 12 months I feel blessed to see both of them binky in a single week. Fingers crossed we get through the winter and they can binky into the spring!!!!!
