Arrival number 2 - Oh my goodness/ pics post 8/ UD p46

Hugo's There

Wise Old Thumper
Nancy has arrived safe and sound and is beautiful

It takes a lot to shock me nowadays but I am gob smacked at the state of her jaw. I can honestly say I have never felt anything like it, and we have seen some absolutely terrible ones. I am speechless and close to tears :cry: It reminds me of the elephant man, the poor poor girl

Thank you so much to Becky and Vicky for letting us give her a home. I hope she is able to remain comfortable and have some bunny company for many months to come :D

So glad she has arrived and is ok, she was really stressed in the car.

Her jaw is awful isn't it, and to think she actually looks a thousand times better now than when she arrived. At least she can close her mouth now and eat. She was dribbling really badly when she arrived.

I forgot to tell Steve she has excel dwarf and junior and she has eaten about half a bowl this morning. She hasn't had her grated veg today.

I miss her already, she is such a lovely bunny.:love:

Thanks I had already asked Steve what she was eating and he didn't know.

Her jaw is certainly very painful, when I touched it he cried and put her paw up to try to stop me  So I have given her some metacam :)

She thumped her feet during the journey back but seems fine now as she has trashed her cage already!

Honestly I was shaking when I touched her jaw, it is that bad :( Such a shame as I can already tell she is a real character

Her she is. You would think from the swelling on her face she had huge abscesses but it appears to be the actual jaw that has thickened :?

She looks just like Sunshine before he was PTS by a shocking vet for a bone abscess/infection thing. Almost exactly like it. Those were in the days before I knew as much as I do now.

I'm so sorry she is suffering so much, but so glad she is in the right place to get the right help.

I haven't even been able to feel it all properly as it is so bad you can't get your finger all the way under as it touches her neck :( She had a major infection inside her mouth when she arrived at the rescue but a dental and antibiotics have sorted that out.

Will be interested to see what the vet says on Tuesday, she is a new one we are trying out. She has specialist interest in small animals and has done lots of extra rabbit courses so hopefully she will have some ideas on how to help Nancy best :)

What a little madam, she trashed her cage in 10 minutes, so I straightened it all out for her and now she has dug her vetbed into a ball again and dumped it in her water bowl   I can see this one is going to keep me on my toes ;)

Sounds like she would get on with Spenser.

She is a typical unneutered female  I was hoping we could get her done asap once her teeth were sorted but given her condition I don;t think it is going to be an option :(

She has nibbled some food, but seems more interested in throwing it around every where and digging in it
