Feeding a baby Nethie?

Indy

Warren Scout
Indy is 13 weeks and is on Excel Jr & Dwarf - it says for a Netherland 30g per day, but "Young and Growing" up to 60g per day...

What would you be feeding him? :) He has a mini bowl of curly kale and spring greens the last two or three evenings which ive pursuaded him to try and isnt a big hay eater:roll:

I would keep to the maximum of 30g of pellets a day. Rabbits require a high percentage of their diet to be fibre in the form of hay to maintain a good gastrointestinal tract and also good teeth. As with humans it is better if a good diet is achieved from the onset and not adjusted later on in life which is then more difficult to achieve particuarly if rabbits have gone on to develop dental problems.

This thread highlighted below is one which Cheryl started a number of years ago which does highlight the reasons why unlimited pellets is not beneficial to the long term health of rabbits.
