Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Poo

Why does my rabbit poo so much
She has just been neutered about 10 days ago.

I want her to poo in her hutch.

When I bring her in for a cuddle, she always wee's and poo's on me

Can someone please give me some advice and help.

How long do you bring her in for? If its for a long length of time she probably can't stop herself. Though rabbits will poo anyway if they need to and they probably do it at certain times especially if they're in a routine and get fed at certain times of the day.

I bring her in for an average of about 30 mins 2 or 3 times a day.

With bunnies pooping should be more or less constant but as Helen has said many buns get in to a routine where as I know with mine, especially Jims that he rarley poops betweent he hours of 1pm and 5pm as he tends to sleep then.
You just need to get used to her routine.

Ok, can we have some advice on how to train her easily and is their anything we can do to tell her off so she wont poo when shes on me.

Her record is about 12 poo's and a wee in 15 or 16 seconds

You wouldn't be able to train her like that, it would be quite cruel to 'tell her off' for something that isn't her fault. You will either have to cope with it or become accustomed to what times of the day she's most likely to need to go.

I must say I agree with Helen, it would be wrong and to be honest quite cruel to tell her off for doing something that is completly natural for bunnies.

The way to potty train a bunny is, identify the place in her hutch that she chooses to got to the toilet most often, place the litter tray in that spot and any poop or wee soiled bedding or hay put in to the potty.
It can take a while but at the same time it can be as quick as a few days it just depends on the bunny.

It may even help to have a potty in the house for the time she is in doors and the above still applies.
