I bought a 20KG bag of Hemp as rabbit floor coverage for £10 thinking, "thats great value, easier to clean than straw and it is used for horses", not thinking about wether it is OK for rabbits. Thumper doesn't seem bothered by it one bit. did I forget to mention it smells nice too?

So...is Hemp OK for rabbits?

hemp is one of the best things for small furries, I use aubiose for the rabbits, gerbils and rabbits

I think it's hemcore which has citronella in it so that one isn't great unless it's just for litter trays.

I've found it's really absorbent and great value, personally

Yep it's fine i use hemcore and love it i've used it for bunnies rats mice hamsters degus and guineapigs

Thank god because it's the 20 KG Hemcore bag that I've bought. My dad was amazed at the size of it (so was I).

it lasts ages aswell mine lasts me a few months

Well I hope mine does too, because it looks like it could last me years!:lol::lol: But right now I have a young un-neutered bunny boy who wees like the toilet flushes!

well i have 5 hutches and 12 cages and mine lasts a few months like i said so yours should last ages
