o no what is wrong with poor mea? i just feel i should know everything :( theres so much to learn about bunnys

What started out as stasis and has just got worse, shes very depressed and in alot of pain even with meds
There is so much to learn but you are doing what you can for him, your looking for advice and that is the best you can do! You arent a specialist or expert!

I think everyone feels like this at some point. It doesn't matter how long u have had bunnies for, there will still be things you don't know. As long as you keep trying to learn and make things better for your buns, you will never let them down. x

Well you are doing the right thing learning, gosh, it's not like you did anything on purpose is it?? I am a first time house Bunny mummy, and I am learning different things all the time. You just have to try and do your best, and that is so much better than, someone who leaves the bun in a tiny hutch with no hay or water.. So give yourself a break my love :D

:) made me feel better, just want everything to be the best for him, him being 8 now i just want him to have the best life possible seen as his first few years were rubbish for him :( im so sorry to here about mea, i hope they find what is wrong with her soon :(

thankyou, she has an underlying problem that hasnt been diagnosed and it doesnt look like she will make a full recovery

im so sorry if what i said on your kale thread has made you want to post this, if it did, you have my sincere apologies, i really didn't mean it to make you think this.

Just wanted to help in the long run, after you asked for help.

Chin up :) You're doing really well for him! At least he's in a better place now, like you say :)

You are doing the absolute best by your buns. NO-ONE knows everything, you're making a big difference by coming on here and asking for advice rather than just ignoring it. You obviously love Casper to bits or you wouldn't be so upset about it, you rescued him from a horrible home and took him to a loving one so you should be very proud of yourself.

o no ofcourse not, im glad you told me, i justt feel awful :(

I think what you have to remember is that every one is human, and every single rabbit owner on here has made mistakes and will make more mistakes in the future. We can't avoid it. All you can do is your best, and keep learning. And you're doing both of those.

If you compare what he came from, to what he has now, it sounds like a huge difference!

Don't beat yourself up. Just because someone has had their bunnies for years doesn't mean they don't make mistakes sometimes or feel bad. Caring for bunnies is an on-going learning process for everyone.

i would like to add.. when i was on my calcium finding mission i found that the calcium content given is dried contents so obviously is ALOT less than fresh..

look on the bag of pellets and see how much calcium is in them. id rather lose pellets than a veg if it came down to bladder sludge issues in the future.

too little calcium in a diet can have just as bad effects as too much.

i once upped the pellets to say sorry to pearl for giving her nasty tasting drugs and Alvin to check he was eating.. i found chalky pee a few times... my buns now have a lot less pellets than the recommended amount and kale daily.. no white paste at all.. alvin has had his blood tested in the last year and his kidneys are functioning perfectly no sign of calcium issues at all and thats with daily kale :D
