It may look cute but i personally think its dangerous for a bun to wear a collar. I wouldn't use one on my buns

No I don't think they're safe, you'd most likely be wasting your money too as rabbits will find a way to chew through them. I admit I did used to put a collar on Harley when he was younger (only when he was out in the garden, he had a tendancy to escape and he looked like a wildie) but I wouldn't do again

I don't think its safe, and I can't see any reason why a rabbit would need a collar in the first place :)

If its just to look nice, then I don't understand why people dress up their pets anyways

I wouldnt advise you use a collar on a rabbit, if it got caught, it could quite easily break its neck.

so its very dangerous for them.... saying that what about a harness and lead
i admit i have one as i dont have a garden/yard and iv took them out a few times at night only just out my door. Harness is http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DWARF-RABBIT-...all_Animals&hash=item35ad6224e9#ht_3347wt_928

i have got one of these but its too small http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/XBUNNY-Design...ll_Animals&hash=item23095225d7#ht_2256wt_1139

I havent took them out in a while as they just stand there and look about, but soon they touch in my flat they are back to normal causing mayhem lol

I wouldn't use one either.

I never even have a collar on my dog in the house (she is chipped)
because when she was a pup she was in the kitchen alone and she had jumped up, got her collar caught on the water pipe tap, and was dangling almost strangled!!

If we'd been out we would have come home to a dead dog...because of a collar

I think harnesses can be safe, only if your rabbit is happy with it and wears it only when supervised.

cllars for rabbits are dangerous, i would sugget microchipping to identify your rabbit if thats your wrory some safety harnesses can be used safetly but nt every rabbit will be suitble to use a harness if possible dont bother as they can bolt and cant run free range like they can in an enclosed garden or large run/aivery its not so natrual, in saying that i do have a harness and i would happily take arthur out with it but dont bother as he has a better life in the garden, i didi use the harnes on dora when we lost snowy to go searching for her, i prefer to see them run free x

I hate the idea of collars on rabbits. I find it completely unnecessary and dangerous. Poor little things, why would anyone do this.
