My rabbits the escape artists!!!!!!

my rabbits now live in there hutch in my conservatory and every night i will sit in there with them and let them out for a run around. once they were back in there hutch i closed the doors and went to bed. i came down this morning only to find they have somehow opened a door and were running loose about the house!!!!! how on earth did they manage that!!! any advise i have cats and dont want them running around unsupervised!!!!!:?

what kind of latch do you have on the hutch?
I have bolts and padlocks on mine, no chance of them opening that :wave:

I use bolts, chains and padlocks on my cages and hutches and none can break free as long as I do them all up properly.

What latches/locks/closing mechanisms do you have?

Nothing to add, but hope you find a way of keeping them secure. If the winter is very severe my bunny might move into the conservatory, but we have no cats to worry about.
