Ridgeback?!

Mr Leo Messy

Young Bun
When we got Leo and took him to be neutered, we worked out with the vet that he is part Lop, part English and part wild. However, he has recently developed a slight ridge of fur that runs in a straight, central line from the end of his back, round the curve of his bum and down to his tail. Is there a breed that displays this trait?!

Is it possible that is a moult line?

How did you conclude what breeds he was? Do you have a picture

ETA- Having found pics of Leo, he is a lop cross. We can't say what with because its impossible to know. His marking is an agouti butterfly, but those markings are not a reflection on what breeds may be in his genes (I'm guessing the fact he is agouti is what made you think part wild, and the butterfly bit is what made you think he was part English). It could be rex, nethie, another cross breed, he could be a full lop with a tight crown, could be anything at all.

Thanks! Will keep an eye on the line!

Seems he is a mixed bag...or maybe not. I will therefore call his breed a 'Leo'!!
