strange taste buds?...

I've recently discovered Thumper doesn't so much like eating his hay out of the hay rack, so I may try it on the floor....but, the bit that confuses me....he LOVES eating straw? Is this normal/okay? Or do you think he's eating it because he is being stubborn to not eat it out of the hay rack?

Normally bits of hay from the hay rack fall out when he does have a small nibble, but he doesn't eat them....

Nope straw is no good as a feed for buns. It's safe just has no nutritional value.
I would swap his bedding for the time being to soft meadow hay so that if he does prefer his bedding he will be eating the correct forage. :wave:
