Poem depicting Sat morning with the buns...

bensonlola

Warren Veteran
Ahem......

Please go and play dear Benson
Go have a run outside.
I can do the dishes
without you by my side.
Go and play with Lola.
Oh! Lola! There you are!
I nearly put my foot on you,
What are you in here for?
The pair of you should be outside
Nomming grass and hay,
Hopping round and round my feet
Won't help me anyway!

I know you want to help me
As I clean your shed and stuff,
But go and stretch your legsies
You'll be in her soon enough.
NO! Sitting on the dust pan
Doesn't help me much at all,
Now I really need to lift it
WATCH OUT BENSON! You'll fall!

Oh Lola! How did you get here
So quickly and so soon?
What's that? I left the door open?
He's in the living room???!!
NO!! BENSON!! YOU CAN'T go in there,
It isn't bunny proofed!
Lola pet, you're in my feet,
Hoppit Lola MOVE!

Oh Benson, good, you're out again
No there's no treats just yet.
No Miss Lola none for you
Now go play in your soil pit.
I'm off to change your litter tray,
Are you two still behind me?
Okay, Okay! What do you want?
Some herbsies and a treat?
Well if it gets you far away
And out from under my feet.....

Come sit on mummy's knee for some
Oh that's a lovely nuzzle -
Thank you Lola Grace and
Thanks Ben for the cuddle.
What's this!? You both want on my knee?
Not sure with your big bums,
Well, I'll put my arm round
So noone falls
While you hoover up the crumbs.

A little grass? A good idea
I planted it for you.
Peace at last,
As on the grass
They chomp -
My little two.

Bless their chubby little bums!

Last time you posted a poem I was out at work. I was most indignant. Do you do sonnets? I am teaching my evening class to admire them this week (that's what I was doing last week when I was out - very exciting life, eh!).

Dan carefully chewed a hole right in the bottom of the rubbish bag today while I wasn't looking , then he and Clo had a tug of war game with the dustpan brush....

They just seem to have an absolute talent for doing things they shouldn't be doing!! Little 'mischief magnets' if you will!!

No sonnets!! Just silly poems! I wrote an ode to Chester if you'd like to read it....? :p

Ahem.... (clearing throat again, I'm a bit mucusy tonight...)

Ahem....

Ode to Chester, by Ruth

Ahem

His dark brown eyes are full of fun
And mischief sparkles from each one
A cold, wet nose and lolling tongue,
His tail swings like a pendulum.
A happy little fellow he,
With heart of love and spirit free,
And nothing fills him with more glee
Than to sit and doze upon my knee.

Yes,specially that Mrs Bun.She then tries to get the innocent Roland into trouble....plus she flaunts herself around the ferrets...Tsk.

Then I go into the bedroom and follow the poop trail to find 2 Nethies...Tsk.
