  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Where can I buy...

Bink

...syringes for hand feeding bunnies?

I've seen them on Pet Planet but I'd like them a bit sooner than that. Fifi is booked in for her spay on Thursday, and I want some on hand in case of an emergency. Any shops I can go to to pick some up?

Thanks!

Bink

My vet gave me 5 when i went back after Biccy's neuter. Maybe ask them if they could give you a few? The nurse was very kind, i offerred £5 but she wouldn't hear a word of it and said "don't be silly, your bunny needs these"

:) Love my vets.

You can get a huge range from VetUK. The 1ml ones are good because you can cut the end off. I bought a huge range from them, from 1ml to 20ml :)

Any pharmacy should have them - i think ours are about 50p each though!
let me know if you get stuck and i could always post you some (5ml ones they are)

my vets just give me them when i need them, i have a few left over from rosie, which i keep incase of emergency

That's excellent guys! I am popping into town after work tonight so will look in a pharmacy. Thanks for all your help :)
