WETNOSE/BURGESS ANIMAL AWARDS 2011

UK’S BEST RESCUE CENTRE COMPETITION

This year we are inviting all independent UK Rescue Centres to nominate themselves for a recognition award under the specific category headings as shown below. You can either nominate your own rescue centre or nominate a rescue centre that you know.

To submit your nomination please download the nomination form from our Wetnose Animal Aid www.wetnoseanimalaid.com website and either e-mail together with any supporting documentation to wetnose@btinternet.com or by post to Wetnose Animal Aid, Newgate Lodge, Newgate, Kirby Cane, Norfolk, NR35 2PP to avoid disappointment please ensure you fill all sections of the nomination form in as we are unable to accept incomplete forms.

NB – Rescue Centres may nominate themselves for a specific category – even if they rescue other types of pets. (eg a dog rescue centre can nominate themselves for the ‘best dog rescue’ even if they rescue cats and rabbits too).

The categories include:

Best dog rescue

Best cat rescue

Best small animal (rodent)

Best ‘fibrevore’ rescue (rabbit/guinea/chinchilla)

Best Greyhound rescue

Best donkey / horse rescue

Best ‘rescue’ story

The judging panel will pick the best overall UK rescue from the winners of the above categories and this will be announced at the award ceremony.

In addition to the ‘Best UK Rescue Centre’ Award, the winner will receive a cash donation of £500 courtesy of Burgess Pet Care.

Terms and Conditions
Nominations to the Wetnose Burgess Rescue Awards are open to all UK independent rescue centres. All nominations must be received by 30.10.2010. Only fully completed entries will be accepted. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries which are delayed, corrupted or otherwise rendered invalid owing to technical errors or malfunctions. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt. Nominations will be shortlisted into one winner and two runners up per category and the nominees will be notified by phone, e-mail or post by 15.11.2010. Nominations will be judged by a panel containing representatives from Wetnose Animal Aid, Burgess Pet Care and another. Nominations will be judged against specific criteria as listed in the nomination forms. Judges may need to visit the nominated rescues as part of the judging process. There is one trophy per category with an overall winning category of ‘Best UK Rescue’ that will receive a cash donation of £500. Category winners and runners up will be chosen before the award ceremony and each party notified. Winners and runners up will be invited to attend the award ceremony, which will be held in London in March 2011. But in the event of non- attendance the winner will need to supply delivery instructions for delivery of the trophy and prize. Winners will be required to participate in future publicity and will be required to have a short film made about their rescue centres to be used at the Awards ceremony. The Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner, should the original winner not conform to these requirements. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw or amend this promotion in the event of any unforeseen circumstances outside its reasonable control.
