New Hutch.

That's only 4 foot. It wouldn't be suitable I'm afraid. You should have anything upwards of 6ftx2ft with an attached run for two buns. :)

Hi, it's great that you are getting a friend for your rabbit however this hutch is unfortunately too small for even a single rabbit. RSPCA guidelines recommend a 6ft x 2ft hutch as the minimum size for two medium sized rabbits. These can be hard to find ironically!! So a lot of bunny owners convert sheds/playhouses into suitable rabbit homes. You will find lots of examples of peoples amazing creativity with regards to rabbit housing on this forum :) hope this helps!!

My garden is only a little it's 10ft long i think but as you see from above not great with lenghts ha ha, most of that is taken up with his run.

I have one of the first hutches - I had it in my bunny shed with the door unscrewed so the buns could use it as a cosy place to sleep. I took it out in the end though as the build quality of P@H hutches isn't great and my tubby old giant bunny started to make the floor sag!:lol:

It's now in my bird shed as a roosting house for my bantams - and the buns have a stronger, wooden dog kennel! :)

If you only have access to P@H then this hutch --> http://www.petsathome.com/shop/orchard-manor-guinea-pig-and-rabbit-hutch-by-pets-at-home-16038 - is 6X2 which is a good size.

Or this one --> http://www.petsathome.com/shop/rose-cottage-hutch-for-rabbits-and-guinea-pigs-by-pets-at-home-29286 - is a five foot, two tier hutch (I think, my cm's to feet maths is a bit squiffy!) which would also be ok for smaller bunnies.

Unfortunately, P@H seem to charge a heck of a lot more for hutches that meet welfare requirements. :( I guess they sell the little hutches cheaper as they can fit more in stock for special offers.

Personally, I think I'd look else where as you'd be able to find the same size hutch, for a similar price somewhere else but chances are it'd be much better built than the ones from Pet at Home.

A lot of people on here recommend Happy Hutch. A 6X2 hutch from them is £105. :) http://www.happyhutch.co.uk/details.php?product=22 and they can deliver.

To be honest P@H are my least fav place, i do try an avoid.

Thanks for the happy hutches site... i will look into that. I am all excited that Mr Tibbs is getting some company:D

Seeing as you're stuck for space, I also recommend The Happy Hutch Company. You could try the double or even triple hutch...as they tend to go UP instead of across :)
