winter mash

JLG

Mama Doe
sorry another foodie question
I remember as a kid that in the winter my mum used to cook potato peelings and then mash them up with a bit of rabbit muesli for the outdoor buns at night. As I recall, they went beserk for it.
Now I know that thinking on diet has changed alot and that potatoes are considered too starchy for buns, but would this cooked potato idea be ok for them or not, given that cooking removes some of the starch?
thanks again :D

Likewise, I wouldn't give potato due to the starch levels (even in cooked potatoes), there are plenty of other things to feed buns that are far more tasty and beneficial. As the youtube vid demonstrates, boil em, wrap em, stick em in a stew...just not in your buns ;)
